It’s officially autumn, and you know what that means: back to school, back to work, back to reality, and trading in your iced coffee for a pumpkin spiced latte.
If the fresh fall air is motivating you to do any renovations or repairs, check out our directory full of excellent vendors. We like to call them our “extended family,” and we promise they won’t miss the school bus or need you to pack them a lunch.
Wydler Brothers also wants to take a moment to express our concerns for those affected by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. Whether or not you know someone directly impacted, we hope everyone is safe, healthy, and with loved ones through these natural disasters. Our sincerest thanks and appreciation for all those who are providing vital help towards a speedy and full recovery.
Surban. No, it’s not the latest food craze or a trendy new phone app. It’s a word for the “in-between” of urban and suburban areas that describes the ideal for many buyers looking. These are mostly young families that are shedding their “first-time homebuyer” apartments now that they have children, who want the comforts of the ‘burbs coupled with the amenities of city life.
At a low point for 2017, mortgage rates have dropped to the 3.75-3.80% range. For most of the year, climbing mortgage rates have pushed buyers to capitalize on historic lows before taking out loans become unaffordable. Now that the market is settling, some buyers are taking the scenic route, especially with home prices at unprecedented levels. Just as autumn days start out at sweater weather but move to gym shorts by afternoon, the housing market is shifting with the season. And who knows how Amazon’s plan to create a second headquarters will impact it all!

Danielle was born and raised in Atlanta, GA. She worked as an agent for Ansley Atlanta Real Estate and was named #1 selling agent companywide in July 2016. Danielle received her undergraduate degree in Advertising from The University of Georgia and her Masters in Social Work from The University of Maryland.
