Welcome to Potomac

Best described as a suburban neighborhood with scattered rural areas, Potomac is home to large properties with wide lawns but also offers options like condominiums to those looking for something different. Because the neighborhood’s houses and services are spread out, driving tends to be much more prevalent in Potomac. As some see this as a downside, others view it as what makes the area cozy and quiet. While there is a great assortment of restaurants and shops in the Village where residents can socialize and shop, there aren’t the same busy streets and sidewalks in Potomac as there are in Bethesda. Instead, the area is filled with beautiful views; golf courses, walking/cycling trails, and riding stables are plentiful.
